Irresistible Gluten Free Show – Coles Cooking School

As I posted yesterday, I went to the Irresistible Gluten Free Show on the weekend. As well as sample and buy tasty gluten free food, you can hear informative talks and learn to cook gluten free. Yippee!

I got to go the the Coles Cooking School on Saturday to cook some yummy recipes. I must admit I felt a bit like Masterchef, the tables set up with all the equipment and the fact that it was open so there was an audience most of the time!

I must admit that I didn’t know much about the chef Spencer Clements when we started cooking. I realised soon after that he knows what he is talking about and has just recently bought out a recipe book, Edible for the Irritable (which you can get at all places where books are sold so Spencer tells me).

Spencer was fantastic. We got taught to make three things. Corn and Cheese Pikelets, Sundried Tomato and Zucchini Muffins and Coriander Crisps with Tsatziki. Not only did we get to make them, we also got to taste them and take the leftovers with us.

We also got a goody bag. Woo hoo. And yep, here is a picture…

  • Sue Shepherd Cookbook
  • Country Life bread
  • Pancake Mix
  • Mount Franklin water
  • and I am positive there was something else but I can’t remember

Isn’t that great value? Especially for someone that hasn’t got Sue Shephard’s recipe books yet. I tell you though, from a flick through, the recipes are great.

I am worried I have bored you guys with all the Gluten Free Show talk but you have to understand that it is a great show and very exciting for me.

I promise – no more for awhile. If anyone has any questions feel free to leave a comment or shoot me an email.

To answer your question, I don’t know if the gluten free show is like the gluten free expo as we have never had the expo here in Melbourne! I wish they would!
