Gluten Free: Table of Plenty Mini Rice Cakes Review and Giveaway!

One of my favourite things about the Irresistible Gluten Free Show that is coming up in Melbourne on 24th and 25th September is the opportunity to try new gluten free products, often for free. While it is fantastic that there are many more products available to us coeliacs and gluten free intolerant people now, often they are a little more expensive than their non gluten free counterpart and it can be hard to try these products, while paying full price for them because if you don’t like them, then it really is a waste of money.

That’s why I was delighted to hear from the PR company for Table of Plenty who offered I try their new mini rice cakes and let you guys know about them. A double bonus for me and you is that they are gluten free!

I received 2 packs of each of the Table of Plenty flavours, Milk Chocolate, Triple Mixed Berry Yoghurt and Dark Chocolate. Each rice cake is covered on one side of each of these flavours.  I do eat plain rice cakes alot as a snack and often have them with salad toppings on them for lunch. I was happy to see that these mini rice cakes still maintained their crunch and the chocolate or yoghurt covering gives it a yummy smoothness.

Now – how do they taste? Well they are delicious. My boys loved them. You truly cannot stop at one. I dare you to try! Each of these little beauties are only 15 calories and have no nasties including no gluten. I am happy to have these in Little Man’s lunchbox as well as keep a few packets in the pantry for snacks. The hands down favourite in this house is the Milk Chocolate mini rice cakes and I have even bought a few more packs since receiving the ones to try.

You can find them with the rice cakes (biscuit aisle) of most Coles stores. They retail for $3.99 a packet. I would try your local health food shop as I am sure I have seen them at the gluten free shop nearest to me. You can also get them online at Table of Plenty but it looks like you have to buy them in boxes of 5.

Best news of all is that one lucky person gets a box of 5 to try for themselves! How nice is that?

I can’t go past cheese and crackers for a quick and easy snack!

  2. Ooh these look delicious! At the moment i’m really loving raw fruit and nut bars – whether they’re homemade or bought. My current favourite flavour mix is peanuts and dates – it tastes just like a peanut butter cookie!

  3. Kate Sins says:

Yummy! My favourite snack is raw nuts or carrot with hummus. I can’t keep either in the house though or I’ll eat the lot…

  4. Mary Preston says:

My favourite snack would have to be fruit. Nuts would come a close second.

My daughter would love the new Table of Plenty Mini Rice Cakes. Fingers crossed!!

  5. Lauren says:

My favourite snack at the moment has to be rice cracker sandwich with a sun dried tomato, ham, basil and a little S&P! YUUUM!

The cakes look delicious! loving the choccy coated ones..can’t to try, even if I dont win i’m going to have to buy them LOL!

  6. Erin says:

Go Natural Almond & Apricot bars are my current GF food obsession. I’m also a big fan on Yumi’s hommus – the kilo tub lasts about a month and it goes on nearly everything.

  7. Sarah says:

I’ve just rediscovered sesame snaps, yum!

  8. Amy says:

Seems like there’s a lot of gluten free news going on. A good chocolate cake would go a long way though. Or a piece of Amedei’s dark 63% chocolate (doesn’t have the sour taste the most chocolate I remember had). :p

these look fabulous and yummy to boot!!

  10. Alicia says:

I’m loving the new flavoured Kettle chips that are gluten free at the moment. Especially Red Pepper and Sour Cream. It’s been such a long time since I’d had mainstream flavoured packet chips. Almost all others have wheat starch. They are my guilty pleasure.

Table of Plenty have great products. Can’t wait to try these rice cakes as they are sweet not savoury.

  11. Linda W says:

My 10 year old son has in the last two weeks been diagnosed with Coeliacs so we are trying all GF foods. These sound great for his lunch boxes!!! Thanks for your blogs they have made my life a little easier!!! :)

  12. Alanis says:

Chunks of fresh tomato with a sprinkling of chilling salt and a dash of lemon!

  13. Bridie says:

I am from a family of coeliacs so am always trying to source great tasting and relatively healthy snacks for my lot. My all time favourite gf snack would have to be…..table of plenty mini chocolate covered rice cakes – I had them the other day for the first time and they were divine! Does that mean I don’t qualify for the comp:) If it helps I can’t find a stockist near me – boohoo! But seriously – these are awesome and I’ve been telling all my friends about them!

  14. Suzi says:

Oh wow these looks amazing. My favourite snack at the moment is the Carman’s muesli bars.

  15. Cheri Portelli says:

My 7 yr old was only diagnosed with coeliacs 3 weeks ago so it’s all quite new for us. She has always loved corn thins with peanut butter, & the Macro original corn chips so at least she is not having to give up these snacks!

  16. Kim maxwell says:

We love plain cornchip and home made salsa!

  17. Clare says:

I would love to try them! I am loving all the other suggestions for snacks as well (think I am going to go and buy some of the new Kettle chips- I didn’t realise they were gluten free!)
